Amref International University (AMIU) to be established in South Sudan’s Maridi State

July 16, 2019(Nyamilepedia) — The authorities of South Sudan’s Maridi State have on Tuesday announced that preparations are underway to allocate additional land for the establishment of Amref International University (AMIU) in the state Capital, Maridi. 

”The Government of Maridi State is committed to provide extra land for the establishment of Amref International University (AMIU) in Maridi County–Health and security is our top priority,” said Deputy Governor, Maridi State, Hon Samuel Bali.

AMREF International (AMIU), headquartered in Nairobi, Kenya, is an internationally recognized institution with special focused on providing higher education studies in health sciences and shaping the lives of young African healthcare workers. 

The University is fully supported by AMREF Health Africa, an accredited institution established on the ground to address some of the most difficult healthcare problems facing Africa’s countries.

The school currently offers post-graduate education at different levels including short courses, diplomas as well as undergraduate degree programmes
