Amref Health Africa CEO on how to strengthen healthcare systems hit hard by COVID 19

The novel coronavirus pandemic severely impacted health systems across Africa. Along with responding to the pandemic, the continent has been also working towards achieving universal health care coverage, by 2030.

We spoke to the Group CEO of Amref Health Africa Dr. Githinji Gitahi, who pointed out the glaring gaps in the health care systems exposed by the pandemic, and the state of UHC in the continent.
