On May 18th, 2022, Qlik® announced Amref Health Africa as a winner of its annual Global Transformation Awards. The recognition spotlights customers who are leveraging Active Intelligence™ through Qlik for transformation and impact.
The awards were presented by Qlik’s EVP, Global Partnerships and Chief of Staff to CEO Poornima Ramaswamy at QlikWorld, the company’s global customer and partner event. The winners represented a cross-section of organisations from various industries and NGOs that are leveraging Qlik to activate their data for outcomes.
Amref uses Qlik to deliver better health outcomes through evidence-based decision making, and create more impact in target communities while increasing its transparency and accountability, which has tremendous potential to solve problems, offer insights, build powerful products that speak to the needs of the communities it serves, and foster even more trust from donors. For example, Amref is currently leveraging Qlik to monitor COVID-19 vaccine distribution across different countries in Africa, which helps to identify vulnerable populations and support closing the vaccine inequity gap across the continent.
Additionally, the use of real-time data helps Amref to demonstrate the impact of its work to local governments, populations and philanthropic organisations in order to attract funding, volunteers and grants.
“Data is the true transformation agent in today’s organisations and we’re proud to recognise these leaders’ efforts in activating their data for outcomes,” said Mike Capone, Qlik CEO. “These stories show the real-world impact any organisation can realise when leveraging Qlik as a core of their strategies to turn raw data into value.”
While speaking at the virtual ceremony, Amref Group CEO – Dr Githinji Gitahi acknowledged the great impact of data on Amref’s work. He appreciated Qlik for the Award and reiterated Amref’s commitment to the partnership.
