Amref Dine For A Cause: African Resort International

The 2nd edition of the Dine for a Cause Fundraising Dinner, an event initiated by the Nairobi Cooking Club, took place on 18th May 2019 at the Capital Club. The initiative is to raise money for health Africa.

The proceeds from this event will go toward two programs:

1)    “Stop the Cut”, an Alternative Rite of Passage (ARP) approach to fighting Female Genital Mutilation (FGM).

2) “Restoring Her Dignity”, a campaign that aims to increase awareness about Obstetric Fistula and raise funds for reconstructive surgery for women and girls living with obstetric fistula.

Red carpet Sponsors included DHL, Ethiopian airlines & African Resort International.

The Nairobi Cooking Club is a unique social group of 10-12 ladies from all corners of the globe founded by Joy Steel in 2013. The ladies come together every month to cook, share and celebrate life driven by their passion for cooking great dishes in celebration of all the countries they have lived in and travelled to.

Dine for a Cause was a fun-filled Black Tie/Oscar Attire themed event with entertainment and a cooking showcase by members of the Nairobi Cooking Club, partnering with Capital Club’s Executive Chef Mohsine Korich.

The event was a great success. Highlights of the evening included a live auction and raffles.

African Resort International is proud to be a supporter of such initiatives that make the community a better place.
