Our mission is to forge global commitments, connect policy to community-led action, and break down the barriers to health equity in Africa.
As we gear up for the 6th edition of the AHAIC in 2025, we are excited to unveil a transformative new visual identity that embodies the spirit of the conference. The evolution of our visual identity is rooted in the rich and diverse patterns of Africa, symbolising the beautiful intersection where countries meet and merge. These dynamic graphic frames celebrate our union rather than our division, reflecting the interconnectedness that defines our continent. By removing boundaries, we reveal the strength of our collective unity.
Drawing inspiration from the vibrant colors, shapes, and patterns of African flags, we have crafted a unique set of patterns that blend seamlessly with our borderlines framework. This innovative approach ensures that our brand remains fresh, consistent, and cohesive across all formats and interactions. Each visual element has been carefully designed to highlight our interconnectedness and shared purpose, creating a dynamic identity that adapts to every platform and medium.
The new visual identity is a powerful representation of our collective journey towards a healthier future. Fueled by the resilience and optimism of the African people, we stand together, lifting each other, our communities, and our nations. The collective power of diverse voices converges here to transform health on the continent and beyond. Our ethos is encapsulated in the spirit of Ubuntu: “We are because you are.”
With renewed energy and passion to tackle Africa’s health challenges, we are meeting once again in Kigali, Rwanda (1 – 5 March 2025), under the theme “A Multi-Sectoral Approach to Addressing Social Determinants of Health.” We have curated exciting sessions under the following six sub-themes: Climate and Health, Research Innovation & Technology, Health Financing, Human Behaviour, Politics and Governance, Health Indicators in Fragile Settings, and Equity, Diversity & Inclusion.
