The Africa Health Agenda International Conference (AHAIC) continues to strengthen its position as one of Africa’s most influential global health platforms, earning yet another prestigious international recognition for its award-winning Flags of Unity creative identity.
AHAIC has been awarded Silver in the Design & Craft for Positive Change category at the 2026 Creative Circle Awards, one of the United Kingdom’s most respected awards celebrating excellence in design, advertising and communications. The recognition places AHAIC alongside some of the industry’s most outstanding creative work and reinforces the growing global recognition of African-led storytelling that inspires action and drives meaningful change.
Created for AHAIC 2025 under the theme “Connected for Change,” Flags of Unity reimagined Africa’s borders as symbols of connection rather than division, reflecting the belief that solving the continent’s greatest health challenges requires collaboration across countries, communities and sectors. It transformed a powerful idea into a distinctive visual identity that resonated with audiences across Africa and beyond.
This latest accolade adds to an impressive list of international honours for AHAIC. In 2025, Flags of Unity received a Bronze Lion at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity, while Amref Health Africa was recognised with the International Public Relations Association (IPRA) Golden World Award for Excellence for the strategic communications behind AHAIC 2025. The campaign was also shortlisted at Eurobest, nominated at The Drum Awards, and received two Bronze Awards at the Creativepool Annual Awards (UK) for Branded Content and Social Good.
These recognitions reflect more than creative excellence. They demonstrate the growing influence of African-led ideas on the global stage. As AHAIC continues to evolve, it is increasingly recognised not only as Africa’s leading health conference, but as a platform where creativity, collaboration and bold leadership come together to shape the future of global health.
As we look ahead to AHAIC 2027, our ambition extends far beyond hosting another conference. We are convening a global movement to shape a new world health order, one that is built on equity, partnership, country leadership and shared responsibility. At a time when the global health landscape is being redefined, Africa’s experience, innovation and leadership have never been more important.

Join us in Kigali from 28 February –3 March 2027 as we work together to shape a global health architecture that respects sovereignty, advances health equity, and demonstrates that Africa is leading the solutions the world needs. Click here for more information.
